Hello
Nice to e-meet you.

My name is Je t’aime.

Yes, it means ‘I love you’ in French and no, my parents weren’t hippies.

I’ve been obsessed with words for as long as I can remember. As soon as I could read, I would stay up all night gorging on books. At eight years old I launched a music magazine, although printing costs and pocket money mismanagement soon saw its demise.

Fast forward to now and I have over 14 years of experience in advertising, content marketing and editorial. That’s good news for you because you can be sure that I can edit a page into a paragraph, but I’m also a storyteller that knows how to weave an engrossing yarn. I have agency nous too, having worked for big, medium and small advertising agencies on copy for household names such as Dr Martens, Watties, Kiwibank, Meridian Energy, Vodafone, The Warehouse, Serato and Fidelity Life.

I’ve been fascinated by stories for as long as I can remember. As a child I’d read entire books by torchlight instead of sleeping (sorry mum!) and even launched my own music magazine at eight years old.

Today I bring more than 15 years of experience in journalism, editorial, content creation and brand storytelling. I’ve worked with household names, interviewed hundreds of people and helped businesses, organisations and individuals share stories that connect with their audience.

Because variety is the spice of life, I’ve worked for print and digital women’s magazines as both beauty editor and editor and also enjoy writing for trade publications.

Whether I am writing for a magazine, a brand, or preserving a family legacy, my goal is always the same: to find the heart of the story and tell it well.

If you think we’d make a good match, let’s chat.

Disappointment is usually a tough thing to write about in a personal recommendation, but with Je t’aime it’s easy. You see, having worked with her for several years I can now confidently say how disappointed I am. Disappointed that I have to spend so much time explaining briefs to other writers (JT would research any subject to within an inch of its life, making briefing her a doddle for the lazy CD). Disappointed that I have to edit so much copy now (JT’s writing is always tight and on the money). Disappointed that deadlines loom so very large (JT gets stuff done). But mostly disappointed that she’s not here any more (JT is a sharp and very entertaining person to have around). Give her a chance and I’m sure you’ll be every bit as disappointed as I am.”
